What a crazy week! From freezing temperatures to warm breezes. We only had 2 and ½ days but managed to get much accomplished.
We finished our pretests for Reading and Math on MobyMax. I’ll be able to use these to drive our instruction and show growth at the end of the quarter.
In Writing most of the students are working on their final copy after working hard on their sloppy copy and editing. Keep a look out on seesaw to see our authors read their original work. Speaking of seesaw if you haven’t logged on please do. All the kids have recorded an original poem. I’m very proud of them.
We will start our Language Art centers next week exploring Mysteries, planets, and Non-fiction/fiction comparisons. We will also explore stars as we prepare for our field trip to the Planetarium.
Irregular and rectilinear shapes are the plan for Math next week. We continue to spiral back to previous learned skills: graphing, patterns, distributive/associative/communtative property, geometry.
Have a great weekend.
